Deck: The Starchild Tarot, Akashic - Danielle Noel
At the beginning of 2017 I wrote a list of things I wanted to do - for myself and with my family. It addressed various areas of my life and I referred to it periodically throughout the year. Looking at it now, I can see how much change has come about by doing things on the list. The things I haven't done are just as telling. Some of the items are no longer of the slightest interest. It’s been a year of significant personal change and I was able to let many of the outdated wishes go. (It wasn't always easy and I procrastinated about some of them!) Having the list has been really useful as a roadmap and to gauge how much has shifted. I'll certainly be compiling a new one! This all felt quite pertinent as I pulled three cards for today.

Perspective: As we head towards a new year it's useful to pause and check-in. To take stock. It's natural to look ahead rather than behind you, but remember that you can learn a lot from both.

The Sun: Counting your blessings and being in a position of gratitude will give you a better vantage point from which to evaluate your current position and how to continue. Celebrate your successes and experience the feeling of a job well done. (Take any lessons you can from everything else and then let go.)

Eight of Cups: As you look back on what's served you, and what hasn’t, be honest with yourself - this is the soul searching card after all. Quieten your mind and look deep inside. If you listen carefully, you'll know how to move forward. And yes, your perspective will continue to change as you go along, so you might need to revise your route, but having a fixed point of reference (where you want to get to) will help you navigate your way.
